SUPPORT FOR TRANSLATIONS INTO FOREIGN LANGUAGES OF
WORKS WRITTEN IN THE LANGUAGES OF THE PEOPLES OF
THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

federal target program “Culture of Russia (2012-2018),” and the Institute for Literary
Translation, an autonomous nonprofit organization for furthering the development of
the theory and practice of literary translation, are prepared to support translation into
foreign languages of works written in Russian and other languages of the peoples of
the Russian Federation.

 

The program will be conductedduring2012-2018.

 

Information on the Institute for Literary Translation’s grant program

 

Criteria for reviewing proposals:

 

- importance and relevance of the translation into the proposed language

- originality and freshness of the literary work

- prizes received from Russian national competitions recognizing the best literary
works (Bolshaya Kniga (Big Book), Russian Booker, Malaya Rodina (Little Homeland),
The Art of Books, Debut, and others) and international literary awards
- new translations of Russian classics

 

The program may offer theseforms of support:

- full payment of a translation

- partial payment of a translation

 

To submit a proposal for the competition, a publisher must present thefollowing
documents:

 

- a completed proposal form (download)

- a copy of the agreement to acquire the rights to use the work

- a copy of the agreement to acquire the rights to translate the work

- a detailed budget estimate for the publication

- a brief rationale/explanation for choosing the work for translation

- informational material about the publishing house

- the translator’s resume

 

All the documents listed above should be sent to the following email addresses:

Applications will be accepted: January 1, 2013-March 31, 2013 (may be extended
till May 31, 2013)

Applications will be reviewed: April 1, 2013-June 30, 2013

The book should be published during 2013-2014.

 

All applications will be reviewed by the Institute for Literary Translation’s and approved
by Rospechat’s Expert Commission.

 

If a decision is made to support your proposal, an agreement will be concluded with
you.

The completed agreement and Appendix 2 should be sent for processing and approval

After approval, originals of the agreement (two copies) and Appendix 2 should be sent

Activityunder the agreement includes:

 

- Sending the layout of the publication to the Institute, in PDF format, by electronic
mail, before the deadline specified in the agreement. Please see layout requirements
below.

- Printing and distributing the books

- Providing five copies of the book to the Institute for Literary Translation

 

The back of the title page of the printed or electronic edition should contain the Institute
for Literary Translation logo and the following text:

Requirements for the layout:

 

- You can download the Institute for Literary Translation’s logo here, to place on the
back of the title page of the layout when the publication is printed.

- The following text should be placed on the back of the title page in the PDF-format

ロシア語教育委員会は、2011年７月に国内の大学・短大等の教育機関を対象に

第二外国語としてのロシア語教育状況調査を実施しました。外国語教育の中でロ

シア語が置かれている状況を把握するため、履修条件や開講頻度、履修者数など

の調査項目を他言語と対照する形式で立てました。調査に当たっては国内190大

学（学部）にアンケート依頼を送付し、そのうち110校から回答を得ることがで

きました。

アンケート内容が多岐にわたり取りまとめに時間を要しましたが、重点ポイン

トを絞り込み、自由記述回答を整理するなどして公表段階に到達しました。2012

年９月にアンケート回答者に対するとりまとめ報告を終えています。しかし、ア

ンケートを実施してから既にかなりの日時が経過し、アンケート価値が減少しつ

つあることは否定しがたく、日本ロシア文学会会員に配布対象を限定し、アン

ケート取りまとめ結果をPDFファイルにて提供することにいたしました。ご希望

の会員は、日本ロシア文学会ロシア語教育委員会（山田隆委員長）宛に連絡を
お願いいたします。

日本ロシア文学会　第2次国際交流助成について

2次国際交流助成を実施します。

今次は、国際学会での報告への助成が、事後審査となります。

主な変更点は以下の通りです。

 

【国際学会での報告に関する助成】

（1）助成対象を、既に国際学会での報告を終え、報告記ないし学会印象記を執筆して
学会サイトに掲載した人とする。

（2）報告記ないし学会印象記の字数を［2,000字以上・上限なし。写真付きが望ましい］から
［800字以上・上限なし。写真付きが望ましい］に変更する。

（3）関連して、提出書類・資料の簡略化を図る（事後審査を原則とすることに鑑み、上記
「報告記ないし学会印象記」の他に、「学会プログラム」、「報告原稿」の3点のみとする）。

（4）申請〆切日は2013年5月31日
